Biography

Vanessa Morman is the founder and Executive Director of the Houston Black Film Festival and CEO of Sheba Media Group. She handles marketing projects for her company, a Literary Entertainment Agency & PR Firm. Currently is the agent for several artist, producers and filmmakers. Though her company’s clients range from authors, models, screenwriters and more, she directly represents, NBC Producer Dawn Carter, (formerly of Fox Pictures) “Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Contradictions of the Heart,” Gospel Singing Artist, Michah Stampley, Bernnadete Stanis, (Thelma of Good Times). She's also served as Unit Publicist for several film projects.

 The former ALAYE Calender Marketing Director is Co author of the new Non Fiction book, "Inside Out: Entertainment Thru Non Profit Eyes" written with Curtis Benjamin and screenwriter, producer, author Antwone Fisher who authored the foreword.

Morman made her acting debut in "My Genie" a short film producer by Dawn Carter and Award winning director, Alton Glass in June of 08.

Morman also holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from Wayland Baptist University out of Plainview, Texas. She also has an Associate’s degree in Radio Television Film from San Antonio College. She is retired from the United States Air Force and a decorated Desert Storm veteran who was a former law enforcement specialist, and a personnel specialist.
